Most of the time we are asked about the best options we have for crossbow shooting targets. This is something important because crossbow arrows are actually quite expensive, and it’s best to find ways to shoot consistently while making sure you don’t damage your arrows. Traditionally, archery targets are designed for crossbows with much lower speeds than what we have now. The standard archery targets aren’t really built to stop an arrow that travels at 350 FPS or more. This is why we have this list so we could help you find the best crossbow target in 2018. A discharge target is a smaller target compared to the normal practice target. It’s made to be portable so you could easily bring it into the field so you could discharge after hunting.
Morell has finally created an inexpensive discharge jacket. It does an excellent job in stopping arrows, even arrow shot from the stronger crossbows. It’s only 10 by 16 and it only weighs 6 pounds. It’s very portable but you should take note that only field points are advised to be used on this because a fixed blade would definitely pass right through this.
Practice targets are the one designed for sighting your crossbow and to be used in practicing at greater ranges. They’re usually heavier and aren’t designed to be very portable given that they have more stopping power.
With its quality, this one is priced affordably. It comes with a great stopping power, and can handle arrows with a higher speed. This features ease in removing the arrows so you won’t necessarily need an arrow puller to pull this one out. It’s heavier, it weighs 30 LBS but this is actually something good to make sure it won’t keep falling as you shoot with a stronger crossbow. It’s 20 by 20, it has enough space to practice with.
This one measures 18 by 18 and it’s a good sized target that would be good for practicing and shooting a lot of arrows. For this one, you need to lube your arrow and make sure you have a good arrow puller so it would be worth your investment. While this might be too expensive, the quality is also worth the investment so it’s not really expensive if you think long term.
This one is a combination of important features. It comes with a great size, a good stopping power, and portability. This measures 16 by 16 inches and it comes with a lot of target to make sure you can fire your crossbow with a lot of confidence. You might have a hard time removing your arrow, so we suggest that you lube your arrow because it really makes a big difference. Like the one mentioned above, this one is an investment.
This one is different from all of those above because this one is a stand which is created to stabilize a bag target better. Since we have been talking about targets, and we know how targets could actually get knocked over quite easily, we figured this one is worth mentioning. You could up to a 30 inches by 30 inches target on this and it would securely hold it and make sure it won’t swing or knock over. This is worth buying because it would save you time from walking back and forth and make sure that you keep the momentum. You can get the Best Compound Bows here
